I like your ideas for the various objectives players have to accomplish in this map and in 15min none the less! Gonna keep my eye on this one, looks good!

Thank-you for the very kind comment!! It lets me know my time and effort were not wasted. I am very glad you are enjoying it. I am gathering feed-back from everyone and getting all issues cleaned up for the full release…which will be after the SDK is released to us.

I really like this map! Great job! Only question is, I saw in one of the videos that you started by the big screen, but for me that area is blocked off. Is that because its a W.I.P? Thanks for doing such great work.
I am glad you enjoy it so far. The big screen and the projector room are closed off in the survival version for now. In those videos that show those areas, I am using content that does not belong to me, once this content is replaced, I will open those areas up again.
hi, the map looks great but when i load it, i spawn under the map and i can't move, this is the first custom map i've downloaded and used, have i done somethnig wrong?
I can only take a guess, but make sure you have the l4d_sv_salmar_b02.nav file in your maps folder with the l4d_sv_salmar_b02.bsp file. Also make sure you are in survival mode before you load the map by typing "mp_gamemode survival" in the console. If this does not help at all, let me know and I'll do what I can to get you up and running :)

So I just loaded up your map, and as the first custom map I've played, I have to say I'm impressed :) So is the version that's currently available to download just a survival map? I really wanted to play the version with the electronically locked door, and the goal of acquiring the keycode. You ave such an amazing idea with the multiple objectives, to make the game more interesting. I really hope that you are working on this version of the map, as it sounds awesome.
A couple small bugs that need to be fixed is that the skybox is flickering when I look at it, And that the survivor AI gets stuck sometimes, though I guess it's going to be a lot of work to make every single custom map, compatible with only 3, 2, or 1 human players.
Thanks :) I am indeed still working on the objective based map. The survival version was an easy way for me to get the base map out there and have bugs/exploits discovered. The skybox does that sometimes and I am not sure why. I've had some feed back saying that it does strange things with lower graphics settings…I'll do my best to sort that one out. I am still working on getting all the bugs out of the nav mesh so the survivors will work better. They seem to prefer a more linear style of map, so my objective based map messes with them a lot. Anyway, thanks for the feed back and I am glad you like it so far :)
Thanks for making this map, it is so cool that you could transform a zombie panic source map into a left 4 dead map and still make it work. Epic Epic Epic!!! Speaking of zombie panic source, since you are the original maker of zpo_tanker, i was really thinking. Maybe you could convert it into a left 4 dead map. I'm not pushing anything on you so you don't really have to do it. just a great idea!!! Anyways I know this map is still a work in progress but it will be amazing when you finish it.

I am glad you like the map! I am not however the author of zpo_tanker. You can find l4d maps by that author at l4dmods.com under the name of Surgeon. He has released one called Abatoir and perhaps others by now and has a work-in-progress called Yama (which is looking to be a most amazing piece of work). You can try to convince him to port zpo_tanker over…it would make a fun l4d map for sure.
I have been helping the Dead before Dawn team with their campaign, so my own map has been put on hold for awhile. I am hopping to use the team's resources to get the last few missing pieces of my Salmar map together.

I believe someone is going to make one up of the beta version and post it on l4dmods. I have been busy working on the Dead Before Dawn Campaign lately, so any updates to this map have been put on hold. Once DBD releases, I will finish this map up and release all of the versions for everyone. :)

I think the rain gutters being able to be use by survivor and infected is a cool idea.
