If you go up the fire-exit at the end of arcade and falls so the BOTS need to pull you up. but, here is the catch. THEY DONT GO UP!

hey, any progress to your naniwa city campaign???? keep us updated. looking forward to play your campaign.
I have just played the campaign and overall, I thought it was very well designed. But the fall came with the atmosphere. It was at points, way to open, deserted and bright which really broke the mood. I did like the ideas you have put in and it will definitely make a good, solid campaign when you sort out lighting, survivor exploits (theres a lot) and making a better environment, a lot of it was empty corridors .
Is this Map Single Player Only?

Very fun. Nice to have a complete campaign. Now that the SDK is out I hope this can be polished. The events, like the finale need the helper to point you where to click, and so on. The one panic event where you "break gate" was a bit confusing as I didn't see the popup the first time.
The AI Director definitely has problems with this big map. As the other poster mentioned having no tanks, but I had the opposite. I played solo on Normal, and I had at minimum 2, and at most 4 tanks on each level! The worst was the first tank that appeared when I only had dual pistols!
Anyway, overall a very fun experience. The one level with the long winding roadway felt the longest to me, and I took a couple wrong turns.
On some stages the yellow painted arrows were very helpful to point the way. I'd suggest a few more of those, or work on the lighting the way the official maps do, so that well lit areas are the way to go and other places are darker.
I did notice lots of empty rooms. But I'm ok with that. It gives the level some feeling that there is more beyond just path a to b. I'd just like the main path to be easier to follow and people can poke around in those extra rooms for more ammo or health or grenades.
I finally decided to start playing the custom maps;
Pros
- VERY large! I actually feel like I'm in a city
- It's a custom map!
Cons
- Many props aren't spawned in; instead there is an outline of the objects, (meaning they aren't used properly)
- There are lots of spots where I can see into the void. A floating city perhaps?
- the survivors are…. lets see whats the p.c. way of saying it…. "mentally challenged". There are spots where they hop into things, or just get stuck.
- The map itself is just WAYYY too open-ended. This makes the horde more of a waste of ammo over an actual challenge. I would suggest one of two things; either put on sv cheats and bump up the zombie count DRAMATICALLY, or redo the layout of the map.
- The map is lacking a lot of detail. There are spots where there isn't anything, and the rooms in the mall have ceilings that are too tall.
-I won't even talk about the, "where the hell do I go?" problems. It's been discussed. A suggestion to those of you who get lost is "follow the zombies…." The AI director only spawns zombies in spots you still need to go.
Really enjoyed the map. Was tons of fun, I just finished your campaign with 2 other friends & just wanted to give you my two cents:
1) No tier 2 weapons until way late in the game
2) Need more clues that you are going the right way (we thought a bunch of times we were going around in circles).
3) Needs to tighten up a bit, like stated above we thought that we were going the wrong way each map was a bit too long/open. I did like open feel but this became a problem when coupled with the lack of cues on where to go.
4) Kinda heard to see at a distance, I felt that I should have been able to see things better
5)I don't know if it's because it's in beta or not but we got 0 witches, and 0 tanks until the end.
6) When we reached the finale, we didn't notice the radio in the middle so we spent a good 5-7 min looking for how to start this and I died via some border flame.
7) Not enough places to spawn (if any)
8) LOVED the finale but we quickly went to a side room that had another room for filtering the horde
9) Loved the entire map, can't wait until you put more polish on this one 8)
10) It was fun, paced differently, and unique.
11) found that special infected acted weird (weren't really a threat) and also had a few spots where we would hear a boomer for about 7 mins and never see it then BOOM it was dead and we still didn't see it.
12) needs a bit more explanation on things like using the generator to lift up the shutter on the room to the safe door for the first time.
13) I don't remember hearing chirping for the 1 car alarm.
14) there were a lot of odd rooms to nowhere.
15) there were a few objects labeled 'ERROR'.
16) loved the feel of the map.
I just want to say thanks for making this, it was a lot of fun, we'll definitely play this again. Can't wait for you to get your hands on the SDK & for us to play finished product. Keep up the great work!

One word says it all, the sense of choice, the attention to details such as auto mission transfer, and the outstanding length of the missions. Its by no means perfect, many rooms are yet to be filled, and I think there was one or two doors that I had to noclip past. But working with the limited pre sdk resources this is an amazing feet that can only be accomplished by hard work and devotion. Keep up the excelent work! :)
why the change in the name? Minami sounded better IMO :]

than it was before. I've noticed that the location of the shutter switch changes, does it not? Nice touch, as it makes the first level very re-playable.
The only major glitch in the second level that I noticed is when you're in the parking garage the infected spawn on a ledge outside under the windows, so swarms are useless as you make your way through there. Perhaps a panic event inside the parking garage…
Third is interesting..can't wait for an updated version…the bot survivors are rather stupid to try and ride in a truck. I just get em in and us "sb_hold_position 1" to keep them in place, but it's still a pain.

During coop play, if you die & you respawn at map switch, you respawn at the end of the next map in the safe room….not in the safe room at the beginning. So those who didn't die, start at the beginning of the map while those that die start at the end of the map.

how do i get this map to work
You have to download it and put it in the map folder thing.
Then go in-game, start a single player scenario, doesn't matter which, and go into the console, and type in:
changelevel city_minami_department_a1
And you should be able to play through both levels without really doing anything…

you shoud brake the gate using a minigun monted over a truck. take awhile but is easy.
