Okay… this map is, how should I put this? Terrible. All it is is a few really high walls. That's it. Also, the mapper didn't even bother (or didn't know how) to set the game mode to versus. I admit that I am a very new modder, but this map is pathetic. I had to turn cheats on and manually switch the game mode. If you want to download a hunter map, make it Hunter Training.
To the maker of this map: Just because you have very high walls, doesn't in any way mean that this map will be fun for hunters. Why not watch some tutorials on how to use the modding tools before you post a map. Then, when you're done watching tutorials, try coming up with something a bit more creative than a big, empty room.
Since you are hiding from everyone behind your "Anonymous" name, I can't say anything to you directly, but if you decide to poke your head out from whatever rock you've crawled under, this is what I think:
1. It is clearly said in the description that there is, "a special config to help you play", so if your reading skills are that poor, you can't really complain about having to switch the game mode yourself.
2. This map was released over 9 months ago, just a few weeks after L4D was released, so it's to be expected that the map will not be fanatastic in the looks department. Back then, there was no offical SDK and very likely no L4D specific tutorials, so making a map that works in L4D in those times is quite an accomplishment. The latest version of the "Hunter Training" map was released only a couple of months ago, so it's expected it will be better than the very early maps.
So basically all your points have been made invalid, due to your lack of reading skills, lack of intelligence about dates and lack of knowledge about the early days of L4D. As a, "very new modder", you should be grateful to people like Nunx for making custom maps well before the release of the SDK for the enjoyment of others, and they don't deserve to be insults by the likes of you.
I wonder what you could have done when making a map in the same kind of conditions like Nunx did all those months ago. If this is the kind of attitude you are going to be bringing to the mapping community, I suggest you don't bother coming in, and instead stay outside of it as a silent observer, as attitudes like yours are not welcome.
