Description
A map for hunter jumping.
There are eight flags somewhere of a town lined with buildings. Please collect them.
Additional info
- The same map area is also used in City Naniwa: Arcade.
- Installation:
1) Place the VPK into your left 4 dead/left4dead/addons folder, or place it anywhere and double click on it to install it.
2) put "hunter_city.cfg" into /left4dead/left4dead/cfg folder.
now launch map in solo mode
for become hunter open console and type :
exec hunter_city
Now, you are in "blue vision", go outside the cage by the right. when you\'re out, just type:
z_spawn hunter
Press control to crouch and left click to pounce, and right click to stab. Now, have fun.

You, my friend, have proven that you could make a platforming game purely out of the hunter-wall-jump..I personally am rooting for a follow-up level, perhaps even a campaign of physical challenges designed just for the hunter. Maybe you can find a way to incorporate zombies that attack the hunter…I'm not a modder so I'm clueless, just a thought.
I just hope it spawns a series of other jump maps and infected boss challenges. Please make lots of others.
IDK how to use WALLJUMP…i want to learn to do it like Mario

You can't. At least not yet.
You can, however, add the map to your mapcycle file on the server, or manually change the map by entering your rcon_password and typing changelevel l4d_vs_hunter_city_b1 in the console
Cn anyone help me how i have to do to play this map!!!! i dont know :(
download it first (easiest to just download it to your desktop)
then unzip it, once you have done so open the map folder and cut (ctrl-x) the map file itself.
it then needs to be pasted into the map folder in your steam/steamapps/common/left 4 dead/left4dead directory.
Then in game, enable the developers console under keyboard options.
Start a single player game and hit ~ (to the left of the 1 key) to open the console. type in the following:
changelevel l4d_vs_hunter_city_b1
Disregard the unplayable error… it happens because there is no safe house for the survivors. Just hit the M key to become infected and spawn a few times to become a hunter.
You can either run up to the survivors to die, or open the console and type "kill" or "explode" to kill yourself. Enjoy!

are they specially hidden or something?
i was wondering the same thing.. i've done that map three times but never even looked for flags, til i read this description of it.. now i'm gonna have to go back again…!
It doesn't allow me to switch to infected. "All players must be connected"
never mind, works fine when i kill myself. Nice map, but way to hard.
keep practicing you should be able to complete it. i find it fairly easy now :D
If some grat mapper or modder out there would do a Smoker fishing map :D

I'm having trouble with this map.
I became the Hunter, And got to the two buildings with the black arrows both pointing up
I tried to jump back and forth between the two, but after about the third jump he stops and just falls.
How do you do it?? This map is way to hard.
when i join this map i always spawn as a surviver, how to become hunter????
i love this map but i was boring to wait the vpk …
i just transform the bsp in vpk, add poster and a cfg file

takes me 6min and 6 seconds to complete :) could be done faster but the part with the tower before the balloons is just so dam tricky imo (at the top, to get out onto the roof)

yes Hunter Training is Much Much harder - all those Kai-jumps, vertical kai jumps are pretty damn impossible for me :D
but i dont understand, when you get to the crane and drop louis down, is that meant to be the end? :D
