I started playing Left 4 Dead itself only last year so I wasn't waiting on this campaign for two years. I also wouldn't have built it up in my mind so much. I think that is the big difference in my opinion.

It does have more puzzles in it than any other 3rd party campaign I have played and I think that deserves some recognition. Even if the puzzles are silly in spots.

I think they should "at least" complete the final map. Like this, there is no conclusion. Even if their "mysterious fifth character" idea doesn't work out, >at least finish the last map Darth< Otherwise, you look like you quit. You can still finish the last map and gain that respect.

I agree that the narration gets drowned out by the other sounds in the game. I thought it was a cool idea to try. There are also tons of extra touches in these maps that you have to pay close attention to notice. The designers were really into these maps and it shows.

Why are people so fired up about this campaign? I have nothing vested in their campaign (good or bad) and chances are neither do you. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Perhaps this didn't live up to the hype and people's expectations. But, they did bring something different into the game and they deserve some respect for it.

I agree that the author shouldn't be harassed to fix the maps… but really, I'm kind of surprised we haven't heard from them by now. This looks like an excellent map.

Map creator, wherever you are, know that you've got a huge following of people for a quality piece of work. If you do decide to go back and troubleshoot this map, you'll be making a lot of people very happy. Your choice, bud. :D

I'm working on a campaign for L4D that requires many props to be made, such as lights, chandeliers, doors, door frames, furniture, etc. Nothing super complicated but more than I can do with converting hammer brushes to models (which I could never get to work well anyway).
So I continue my search for an easy to use modeling program. I've tried Blender, Milkshape, and a few others and they are all just so counter intuitive to comfortably making the shapes that I want that I can't get anything done in them. Is there such thing as a modeling program that's similar to Hammer? I can make nearly anything I want in Hammer, but the detail can only go so far.
